me: dude, i didn't even watch those.
him: i like to watch this guy. study him. i notice he is like an orator . . . like a black preacher . . .
me: he does get his martin luther king on.
him: yes! he is almost singing!
me: he repeats lines like a refrain; almost like a chorus.
him: i love this as an actor. but i noticed one thing. he has very small hands.
me: huh?
he lifts my left hand. i have brown, slender, thin-skinned pianist's hands.
him: hands like yours.
me: you noticed his hands?
him: i told you i notice everything. his hands are just like yours.
me: cool!!
him: hey, hey--listen. you are too emotional about obama.
me: i didn't bring him up! you did!
him: yes, but, you love him too much. serbia is older than usa.
me: okaaaay . . .
him: so as someone older to someone younger, let me give you a piece of advice: never adore or idolize your leaders. never trust them.

Well...there it is in a nutshell. It's a tough price to pay when you love. No matter what, but w/politicians it is esp. dangerous.
